Re: Team Vs Leicester?
Leicester will be a totally different game.
We will be expected to and will have to attack more.
Thus Jenkinson will play right back.
Will Lanzini start, not sure we can afford both Zarate and Lanzini, they will need to work their bollocks off and not be bullied, both are a bit light weight.maybe Obiang could be ready by then. Not sure if he is an attacking threat or more defensive.

Re: Team Vs Leicester?
Yes, Jenks in for Tomkins and Lanzini in for Oxford, to make it a more attacking side. If we're 2 - 0 up 2nd half bring on Oxford and Obiang for Lanzini and Zarate.

Jenks in for Tomkins the only change for me

Harsh on Tomkins has he had a good game but at the end of the day he's not a right back. Jenkinson bombing up and down will give us more of an attacking option as well

he does not have the quality for the prem. he missed his opportunity to stand out in Europe, he is only a squad player for me

Considering all his pre-season game time, I'd think Poyet would be disappointed not to be anywhere near the team at the start of the season. Doesn't seem to be making many starting XI's in this thread either.

You aren't making any sense.

Re: Team Vs Leicester?
4231 with Payet Lanzini and Zarate as the three (the rest picks itself doesn't it)

That should give the Leciester back four enough to prevent fullbacks getting into it and our back four has enough pace these days.

Take the game to them, not the other way around.

IF Oxford is up to it, with no danger to his development, why drop him?

Big word, that "if", though.

Bobby Moore played 18 league games in his first two seasons.

Lots of people worried about how Leicester play when maybe we should be making them worried about how we're going to play.

Sorry, I hate it when people post comments and don't have the front to say a name.

I was talking about you Glenn

Re: Team Vs Leicester?
Leicester play with fast wingers so the formation will change and the full back will need support. Arsenal play it though the middle so the diamond formation worked to stop their short passes.

Adrian

Jenkinson - Reid - Ogbonna - Cresswell

Javis - Noble - Payet - Kouyate

Zarate - Sakho

I find these types of threads are second only to the match day thread for the amount of clap trap spouted by twonks who think this is soccer manager

Glenn

You can see "clearly" into Bilic's reasoning then can you?

He may have chosen Obiang, if fit, but he might have seen something in training and chosen Oxford anyway. Who knows for sure? Not me. Not you.

What I'm sure of is that Bilic will have been grateful for Tomkins performance, but will much prefer a right back who can bomb forward, especially at home.

He's come to a club with Cresswell and (kind of) Jenkinson already established, which is excellent for how he normally likes to set teams up.

Sorry James, you lose the right back spot. Ogbonna is more secure as he a lefty, so if you must have Tomkins in, you have to drop Reid........That may still happen.

Re: Team Vs Leicester?
Is Obiang fit and able to play in a development team game soon?

Jenkinson is our best right back and comes in.
Oxford should play against Leicester but I'd take him out for the next match whatever he does.

First of all, even if Obiang is fit, then I'd STILL play Oxford against Leicester.

Secondly, of course Obiang shouldn’t be guaranteed a first team place. I never said he should be. But he had of been fit leading up to the Arsenal game then he clearly would have been in the team ahead of Oxford. Remember Oxford is 16 years of age and prior to Sunday had not played one competitive first team match.
Obiang in comparison has played over 130 compeitive games in Serie A and we just paid £4.4M for him. So of course Obiang would have been be a first team player. Don’t talk rubbish and suggest otherwise. You are the one talking shit.

I would be shocked in jenks didn't play

And we are going to play 4-2-3-1 at home we need to be pressing and attacking Bilic isn't going to do s fat Sam....

It is easily tempting to put Jenkinson in and it wouldn't be the wrong move to do just that. I am just giving my opinion that's all.

If Tomkins had an ok game against Arsenal or if we had drawn the game then I would put Jenkinson straight back in. If Tomkins is doubtful after his collision then again I would put Jenkinson straight in.

But for me Tomkins didn't just do a job on Sunday, I thought he was brilliant and Leicester don't concern me enough to think that we can't win the game by having a less attacking and not a natural right back in Tomkins. We are more than capable of beating them with Tomkins and Oxford.

I'd be happy with Jenkinson in there against Leicester if Bilic makes that decision (and I think he probably will do that).
